What happens when our Fluffy Hunky + Karoo Tweed + Rhythm come together?
We’re putting that answer in your hands and calling on crafters to step outside the familiar and rethink how yarn works together.
Not side by side — but as one.
Blend textures. Clash colours. Build depth.
This is your chance to experiment, whether you knit or crochet, this is about pushing your creativity further than before.

CHALLENGE DETAILS:
Your task is simple. Create a project incorporating all three of our newly launched yarn ranges:

• Fluffy Hunky
• Karoo Tweed DK or Chunky
• Rhythm

No rules beyond that – just your vision.
Whether it’s something you reach for every day, something cozy for your space, or a piece you’ll be proud to use again and again.

HOW TO ENTER:
Use each of the yarns (Fluffy Hunky, Rhythm and Karoo Tweed DK or Chunky), in any quantity, in any colour(s), combined into one project.
E-mail your entry with a maximum of 2 photos of your completed item, styled creatively, together with your full name to elleyarnscompetitions@gmail.com

PICKING THE WINNERS:
We will be picking 3 crafters randomly from the pool of submissions.
Winners will be contacted via e-mail on 4 May 2026.
Final winners announcement will take place on 11 May 2026 across our social media platforms.

PRIZES:
Each winner will receive 3 packets of yarn of their choosing.
*Yarn selections are subject to stock availability. Saprotex reserves the sole discretion to determine and substitute yarn options based on available inventory at the time of prize fulfilment.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the 3-in-1 Design Challenge Competition (“the Competition”). By entering, participants agree to be bound by these rules and any decisions made by Saprotex.
1. The Competition is open to individuals of any age that reside in South Africa or Namibia.
2. Entries are open from 1 April 2026 and closes at midnight 30 April 2026. No late submissions will be accepted.
3. Employees of Saprotex, their immediate family members as well as agents, stockists, ambassadors, organizers and sponsors are excluded from the Competition.
4. Each participant may only submit ONE project entry with a maximum of 2 photos on the entry, as specified in the Competition announcement.
5. A valid entry must be a physical item made by the participant, no Artificial Intelligence generated images will be accepted.
6. You do not need to create your own pattern, you may use third party patterns, but entries must not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.
7. Participants retain ownership of their work.
8. Entries must meet the requirements outlined by the Competition details.
9. Saprotex will not be held responsible for lost or late submissions due to technical issues affecting entry submission.
10. Entries must be sent via e-mail to elleyarnscompetitions@gmail.com to be considered valid. Entries posted on our Facebook or Instagram pages will not be considered.
11. Winner will be selected by an electronic random draw.
12. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash unless stated otherwise.
13. Saprotex reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value if necessary.
14. Winners will be notified via e-mail on 4 May 2026. Each winner will be required to respond within three (3) working days of notification to confirm and validate their prize. Failure to respond within this timeframe may result in disqualification, and an alternate winner may be selected at random.
15. By entering, participants grant Saprotex a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to display and use their entries (including images, names, and likeness if they win) for promotional purposes across platforms, while ensuring proper credit where possible and using personal data solely for competition administration in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
16. Saprotex reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Competition at any time and such changes will be communicated across our social media platforms.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction.
By participating in the Competition, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
