k = knit; m1 = make one stitch, pick up loop between bobble and next stitch and work into the back of this loop; p = purl; pw = purlwise; rep = repeat; RSF = right side facing; sl = slip; st(s) = stitch(es); tbl = through back of loop; tog = together
SPECIAL ABBREVIATIONS
C3L = slip next stitch onto a cable needle and hold at front of work, k2sts from left hand needle, then k1 st from cable needle
C3R = slip next 2 stitches onto a cable needle and hold at back of work, k1 st from left hand needle, then k2sts from cable needle
MB = make bobble: (K1, p1, k1) into next 2sts tog, turn, p3, turn, k3tog tbl
PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
Multiple of 14sts + 8sts
We added 3 garter stitches at each end but these are NOT included in the instructions below.
1st row: RSF, k.
2nd row: P.
3rd row: K10, (sl2pw, k12) to last 12sts, sl2pw, k10.
4th row: P10, (sl2pw, p12) to last 12sts, sl2pw, p10.
5th row: K8, (C3R, C3L, k8) to end.
6th row: P.
7th row: K10, MB, m1, (k12, MB, m1) to last 10sts, k10.
8th row: P.
9th row: K3, (sl2pw, k12) to last 5sts, sl2pw, k3.
10th row: P3, (sl2pw, p12) to last 5sts, sl2pw, p3.
11th row: K1, (C3R, C3L, k8) to last 7sts, C3R, C3L, k1.
12th row: P.
13th row: K3, MB, m1, (k12, MB, m1) to last 3sts, k3.
14th row: P
