WORLD KNIT IN PUBLIC DAY Competition

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

What is KIP (Knit in Public) day you may ask? Well, it’s a very unique event, in that it’s the largest knitter-run event in the world. World Wide Knit in Public Day was started in 2005 by Danielle Landes. It began as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each other’s company. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, 9 June 2018.

Since not all of us are knitters, we’ve decided to open the competition to crocheters as well. Get your friends and neighbours together, pack your needles and yarn and head down to your local coffee shop, shopping centre, beach front or any other public area of your choice and get those needles and hooks clicking. Stand a chance to win an exciting mystery hamper! Just post a selfie of you and your friends knitting in public in the comments section of the pinned post on Facebook, showing off your favourite Elle yarns*. Make sure to post it before midnight on Saturday (9 June) to be eligible to win!

What’s better than a hot cup of coffee and a whole lot of yarn?
