YOU WILL NEED:

One pair recommended needle size for the yarn you are using

ABBREVIATIONS:

k = knit; p = purl; patt = pattern; pw = purlwise; rep = repeat; RSF = right side facing; sl = slip; st(s) = stitch(es); tog = together.

 

Multiple of 10sts + 7sts:

1st row: RSF, k.

2nd row: P6, [take yarn to the opposite side (back) of work, sl5pw, return yarn to front of work, p5] to last st, p1.

3rd to 6th row: Rep 1st and 2nd row twice more.

7th row: K1, (k7, take right-hand needle under the 3 long strands and k them tog with the next st on left-hand needle, k2) to last 6sts, k6.

8th row: P1, take yarn to the opposite side (back) of work, sl5pw, return yarn to front of work, [p5, take yarn to the opposite side (back) of work, sl5pw, return yarn to front of work] to last st, p1.

9th row: K.

10th and 11th row: Rep 8th and 9th row.

12th row: As 8th row.

One cable needle

ABBREVIATIONS:

k = knit; p = purl; rep = repeat; WSF = wrong side facing

SPECIAL ABBREVIATIONS:

C2L = knit into back of second stitch then knit first stitch slipping both stitches off the needle together

C3B = slip next stitch onto a cable needle and hold at back of work, k2sts from left hand needle, then k1 st from cable needle

C3F = slip next 2sts onto a cable needle and hold at front of work, k1 st from left hand needle, then k2sts from cable needle
